9 days left until we are married!
Hi Everyone,
We are pretty excited for next Saturday. It is the big day! Everything has been booked, wrapped, stamped, mailed, tasted etc. All we have to do now is wait, and not do any extreme sports (Justin) until the day has arrived.
If any one has any last minute questions before the wedding, please post them on the blog and i will get back to your right away. See you all next week!
Well, the poll results are in and by far, the most favored favor (ha!) is the "Candies and Mint option". 36% of you voted for this as the preferred favor. Tied at 18% of the vote were "Shot Glasses" and a "Donation to our favorite charity". Please see all the results below. We need some help deciding what to give everyone as a wedding favor (bonbonierre). We're debating (actually there was some arguing involved!) between homemade soap shaped like a heart, homemade jam or assorted candies and mints. Can anyone help us decide or give suggestions of amazing favours you've received at other weddings?
Since you are looking for some advice, I went to a wedding where the bride and groom donated the budget for their favors to their favorite charity. They placed a card on each table with the name of the charity and thanking the guests for their generosity. I thought it was a nice touch and it made everyone feel good.
Why don't you create a poll to have people choose what wedding favor they want? Personally, I would like the candy...so make sure that is one of the poll questions!
Justin and I are working on renovating our ensuite - I know, I know, everyone is saying that we should wait until after the wedding, but I just can't stand it anymore! We had to change the melamine counters and the outdated tiles. If anyone has any advice or reno stories to tell - please post them in the comments section. We are trying to save some money (with the wedding coming up and all) so I am going to re-tile the bathroom myself.
Love your website ! Will and I actually just did our bathroom ourself. It took many weekends and a zillion trips to Home Depot but it was so much fun and we saved a lot of money. If you are not in a rush I recommend the DIY route for the whole thing.
Best of luck with the reno - it is always more time than you think it takes. My only advice is - make sure you have a good contractor that you can trust. We went through 3 before we found one that was reliable!
